It is estimated that 34,000 households in Sheffield (out of 230,000) are living in fuel poverty, spending more than 10% of their income on energy bills.

Many are forced into a choice between heating and eating - and cold, damp homes are a serious health threat, particularly for children and the elderly.

Natalie has worked with campaigners against fuel poverty, and with the home insulation industry, to seek solutions that can ensure we have homes fit for the 21st century.

Well-insulated homes are essential. Far too many in Britain are not, yet since 2010 not a penny of government money has been going into measures to improve our homes.
