Protecting the rights of our EU friends, neighbours and colleagues

Here in Sheffield, as around the country, citizens from other parts of the EU are part of our communities, part of our workplaces and our educational institutions.

Yet Theresa May's government has explicitly called them "bargaining chips" and refused to guarantee their rights.

This is unacceptable. We should immediately guarantee the rights of people who've made their lives here to continue them with the same security as before the Brexit vote.

Already, valued members of our community are leaving their jobs and homes and moving away because of the uncertainty of their position. This is a loss to all of us.

Natalie has campaigned strongly for their rights - and those of UK citizens living in other parts of the EU.
